Commision free! Woo hooo!

As of today I am commision free, and that is a good thing, painting things for others can put you off the hobby, but its always nice to get some cash back from the hobby (and then just hand it over to GW!). Now I can fully concentrate all my hobby efforts on Pappa nurgle 26 days left.
All my bikes and havok parts are cast and I got of ebay some old rogue trader marines., today I plan to clean the mold lines of the bikes and fill in the air bubbles.

I am also thinking of adding a landing pad for the look cool effect. It is going to be a scratch built ( I got the dimensions from the landing pad its 11x11" and raised 3.2" from the ground.

The floor will look like the last on in the picture bellow but bigger and more chaotic forms.
the structure will be raised by the help of 4 massive nurgle hands(statue).

Cause of the size, I am hopping to be able to make additional pieces for sale. So no Gw pieces will be used.

I am also thinking of dropping the rhino, it keeps giving first blood.

Getting thumb out of bum!

Apologies for my rude title.

If you have not noticed I added a countdown timer (only days I dont want to go crazy by looking at the seconds go by).

You see I have an event to go to and an army to finish. This week I did no hobby, I blame it on Diablo he made me do it.

I also have a comission to finish ASAP.

Some people take forum oath to paint x models, I am about to  take a blog oath,

I pleadge to complete my 1850p Epidemius Nurgle list. Excuses are for children.

So the plague marines and deamons are painted but still need some details and some champions.
Epidemius needs some accesorries.

I plan by the end of next Friday to have Epidemius painted, and all 6 bikes cast. Lets see how I do by the end of next friday. Its time to get the thumb out of bum!

Resin and casting adventures.

 Good morning readers,
So I finished the first stage of my nurgle jetbike (counts as bike)

I really like my creation, and I think its better than other ones in the market, I have seen the forgewolrd one up close and they are very nice, but very expencive I dont want to pay £140 for 6 bikes.

So this weekend I made a 2 part mold.

Then late on Saturday I did my first casts the first 2 had a massice air bubble so I adde another 2 air holes.
Here is my third cast:

Even the bad side I can work with, I an quite happy of the result, so from here on it should be pretty automated:

• Add rubber bands
•  poor resin
• demold
• repeat

 I did get 3 very nice copies but then on my 4th demolding some of the resin was not set after 8 hours, I bind the cast an d cleaned the bad resin(it was in sticky gel form), and casted again, the same thing happenend.
Now from what I read I need to clean the mold with venigar and asetone. then try again.
Maybe I did not mix the resin well I do not know I will test the resin once more elsewhere before using it.

Ι did an impulsive buy and bought the last gw kill team ticket, is anyone else going? 

I only bought it cause I thought it would be a great chance to play with first claw.

its 200p kill teams and you can give 3 models a special rule.
I am thinking giving mercurian Relentless, Xarl fleshbane, and Talon's Power sword master crafted.

first claw will be a unit of chosen, probably veterans, but I am also dancing with the idea of slannesh, I would also like some raptors but there are not enough points so maybe some sacrificial cultists or another claw.

I am making the list as I type:

Epidemius and Jet Bike Update 1

Good morning readers,
last night and this morning I got to do a bit of sculpting,  just wanted you to  see some quick pis.
Epidemius still need loads of more work but I do like how it is materialising from my idea.
I am hoping of adding another 1-2 hours on him today.

And here you can see the bottom of the bike, probably no one will see it once the bike is place in its base.
